Campaign: Restore the Whip to Jeremy Corbyn
On Thursday 18th February, this week, it will be three months since 18th November 2020, when Sir Keir Starmer announced he had ‘taken the decision not to restore the whip to Jeremy Corbyn’ and that he would ‘keep this situation under review’.
The day before (17th November), Labour Party National Executive Committee (NEC) members had decided to readmit Jeremy to party membership, following his suspension from membership by Labour’s General Secretary David Evans on 29th October.
The Campaign for Labour Party Democracy (CLPD) is encouraging party members to contact Sir Keir to request that he review his anti-democratic decision and arrange for the whip to be restored to Jeremy.
Please find below a model letter that can be emailed directly to Sir Keir, with copies to all other members of the NEC, by clicking on the button at the bottom of this page. You can also post the letter to Keir Starmer at Keir Starmer MP, House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA. Download a version of the letter here.
A list of NEC members and their contact details can be found here.
