The Campaign for Labour Party Democracy (CLPD) is urging Party members to stay in the Party and fight this injustice.

Solidarity with Jeremy Corbyn

To Keir Starmer and NEC

This Branch/CLP expresses its solidarity with Jeremy Corbyn.

Jeremy is a lifelong campaigner against racism and antisemitism.

We believe that unity, not division, is important for the Party to make progress and effectively challenge racism, fascism, antisemitism and harassment in what ever form this may take.

Information for Party activists

CLPD believes that this motion, which calls for solidarity with Jeremy is more likely to succeed in many CLPs than one that refers to the disciplinary action (suspension) taken against Jeremy. This is because of a letter to CLP Chair’s and Secretaries on 12th August 2020 from the Party’s General Secretary, which stated “any discussion about ongoing disciplinary cases remains prohibited.”

Chair’s and Secretaries have not received any instructions that discussing solidarity with Jeremy is prohibited.

The more CLPs that pass motions supportive of Jeremy the stronger our campaign will be.
